Introduction
China Jiliang University is a higher education institution with distinctive features in metrology, standards, quality, market supervision and inspection and quarantine. The predecessor of the university was Hangzhou Metrology School, which was established by the State Bureau of Metrology in 1978.
In 1985, it was upgraded to China Jiliang University with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In 2016, it was renamed China Jiliang University. In 2019, it became a university jointly built by Zhejiang Province and the State Administration for Market Regulation and a key construction university in Zhejiang Province. In 2021, after review by the Academic Degrees Committee of The State Council, the university was successfully approved as a doctoral degree awarding institution. In 2023, it was successfully approved to establish two postdoctoral research stations in Instrument Science and Technology and Optical Engineering.
